He can say he tried, he can tell the city he tried, that he wasn't gonna leave, he was going to try and stick around, see if he and Damian Lillard could come back and do this. This is how he can say he doesn't know what the front office is doing, and I think this is his way of exiting the Milwaukee Bucks."
