Are the Titans and Marcus Mariota a Legitimate Threat in the AFC?

After the most shocking result of the NFL season in what was one of the worst blowouts of Tom Brady’s career, the Tennessee Titans are now over .500 and on the heels of the first place Texans in the AFC South.

Even though the Titans still have two of the more embarrassing defeats of the year on their resume, losing 13-12 against the Bills in Week 6, and then losing 21-0 to the Ravens in Week 7 in a game Marcus Mariota was sacked 11 times, three of their four losses for the season were in margin of defeats under a touchdown, with two of those losses by a single point.

With Mariota playing the best football of his career, compiling four straight games of 90+ QB ratings, including games of 119.9 and 125.0 the past two, Clay Travis discusses how high the young quarterback can really take a Titans team with one of the most underrated defenses in the NFL now being propelled by MVP-caliber play from the 25-year-old Mariota who could suddenly be establishing himself as a Top 10 starting quarterback.

Listen to the full audio below as Clay thinks the Titans are quickly moving up the food chain in an unpredictable AFC that is beginning to line up worthy combatants to level the New England dynasty.

Does Marcus Mariota have the Titans in the discussion for the AFC title?
