The Mansfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said, they received 22 calls for crashes due to the weather on Monday morning, between 7 am and noon.
This as snow came down pretty heavy starting in the 7 a.m. hour morning commute time. 13 of those calls had crash reports with only minor injuries reported. The Richland County Sheriff's Department also handled some of the accidents, according to the Patrol Dispatcher.
A level 1 snow emergency was issued in Richland County, as roadways quickly became snow covered and slippery.
Accumulating snow in early November is rare, but a good time to remind drivers to slow down when roadways are slippery and give yourself some extra time.
