The Ashland County Democrat Party has filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court, alleging their federal civil rights were violated last month.

According to AshlandSource.com, the lawsuit lists the Ashland County Sheriff, Ashland County Fair Board President, along with two other board members and 2 sheriff deputies as defendants in the case.

The incident took place on September 18th, when the Ashland County Democrat Party was asked to leave the fair due to offensive buttons directed at the President.

Ashland County Sheriff, Kurt Schneider, said last month, he contacted the Secret Service to investigate.
