HS Football: Lexington Wins 4th Straight Behind 3 TDs from Markale Martin

The Lexington Minutemen won their 4th game in a row on Friday, as the beat OCC rival Mansfield Senior, 48-6, on homecoming in Lexington.

The Minutemen led 14-0 after the 1st quarter on TD passes by QB Joe Caudill to Brayden Fogle and Seven Allen. Lex increased the lead to 41-0 at halftime behind 2 TD runs from Markale Martin ( 7 yard and 22 yard runs), a 24 yard pick 6 on defense by Fogle and Cohen Boozer recovered a fumble in the endzone.

Martin found the end zone for the 3rd time in the 3rd quarter to give Lex their 1st win at home over Mansfield Senior since 2011.

The victory for the Minutemen is their 4th in a row, where they have piled up a combined 191 points. Lex, now 5-1 and 2-0 in the OCC, has a huge league game on Friday at West Holmes (5-1, 3-0).

Mansfield Senior got a 36 yard TD pass in the 4th quarter from QB Sean Tanner to DJ Corbin. The TYgers are 0-6 for just the 4th time in school history and the first time since 1997.
