Bucyrus – Troopers from the Bucyrus Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on September 10, 2025 at approximately 2:03 PM on U.S. 23 in Crane Township, Wyandot County, Ohio.
The crash involved a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jacob T. Belsky, 29, of Millbury, Ohio and a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Temya Brown, 46, of Southfield, Michigan. The 2020 Freightliner Cascadia was pulling a 2021 Great Dane Van Trailer. Ms. Brown was traveling northbound on U.S. 23 and slowed for traffic ahead. Mr. Belsky was traveling behind Ms. Brown, failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, and struck the rear end of the van trailer.
Mr. Belsky was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Drugs and alcohol are not a suspected factor. Next-of-kin have been notified.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, Wyandot County EMS, Upper Sandusky Fire Department, and Liverpool Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
