A portion of Lexington-Springmill road was closed on Wednesday night, after high winds caused 3 power poles to lean over the roadway. Ontario Police responded and the road was closed ,between Village Mall drive and Ferguson road, for several hours. The road was reopened in the early morning hours of Thursday.
In Ashland, Craig Kiley, Police Captain, told WMAN they had blocked roads on College Ave and Chestnut Street due to downed power wires. Also, officers removed some tree limbs and debris on Faultless and Lee Avenues.
There were several reported power outages in Ontario, Ashland and Mansfield due to the weather.
The National Weather Service reported straight line winds in North Central Ohio on Wednesday evening of around 70 MPH.
