Mansfield mayor, Jodie Perry, shared this week with city council members that she met with a consultant about a possible feasibility study for a community swimming pool in Mansfield.
According to RichlandSource.com, Perry plans to talk with a aquatic design firm later this month and there could be more information by the fall.
The mayor said, she supports a pubic pool, but they have to find the right way, and a way to pay for it.
Mansfield has not had a public swimming pool open in town since August of 2021, when the pool at Liberty park closed because of mechanical issues.
