Actor Francisco San Martin, best known for roles on the soap opera Days Of Our Lives and the comedy-drama Jane the Virgin, has died at the age of 39, the New York Post reports.

San Martin was found dead by police at his Los Angeles home on January 16 and is reportedly suspected to have died by suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office via Hollywood LA News, though an official cause of death hasn't yet been announced publicly. The actor played Dario Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, making his first appearance on the long-running soap opera in 2011 with his character portrayed as a thief who was later revealed to be an investigator.

San Martin was featured on the show for six months before his character was moved to Argentina for a job and later portrayed by Jordi Vilasuso when it was brought back between 2016. The actor also appeared as a groundskeeper named Mateo on the soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful in 2017, the same year he landed the role of estate manager Fabian Regalo del Cielo on the popular series Jane The Virgin.

San Martin appeared as a love interest to Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez's titular character in seasons 3 and 4.
