Mansfield 3 Inches, Lexington Near 5 In First Snowfall Of 2022

Be aware of Areas of blowing snow through mid afternoon today with wind gusts as high as 29 MPH. Use extra caution when traveling with snow still on some side streets and secondary roadways, as winds will calm down later this evening. Richland County issued a level one snow emergency, which means roadways were snow covered and slippery. Ashland County early Monday issued a level 2 snow emergency due to snow and blowing snow.

The Mansfield post of the Ohio State highway patrol reporting just a few cars sliding off area roadways earlier this morning after around 3 inches fell in Mansfield overnight. One report in Lexington said they saw nearly 5 inches of snow. Schools were not in session because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
