COVID-19: Richland County Vaccinations Up As Cases Rise

More people are getting vaccinated in Richland County, as cases are rising due to the COVID-19 Delta variant.

The CDC lists Richland County as substantial for the level of community transmission, after reporting more than 100 new cases in the last week. The CDC is recommending people in counties with substantial and high levels of COVID-19 to wear a mask indoors, even if fully vaccinated.

Richland County vaccinated 420 people last week, which is 3 times the amount averaged in the middle of July, when the average was around 140 people per week.

Crawford County is listed as substantial, while Ashland County is under the high level of community transmission.
