Sheriff Releases More Information on Flemming Falls Road Shooting

On Thursday August 8th at approximately 2128 hours, this office received a 911 call from a neighbor stating that his neighbor who lives at 1177 Flemming Falls Road had been shot.

At 2134 hours, Deputies from our office arrived at the scene, and found the victim, Alesia Litteral shot, and her husband Ian Davidson deceased in the bedroom of the residence.

Detectives from the Richland County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit arrived on the scene and started an investigation. During this investigation, it was found that Litteral and Davidson were married. Litteral had informed neighbors that they were having problems, and she wanted him to leave the residence.

The Ohio Bureau of Investigation and Identification (B.C.I.) was contacted and they processed the scene for evidence. In addition, drugs, guns and ammunition were seized from the home.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office arranged for an autopsy to be completed on Ian Davidson. It was determined that Davidson’s cause of death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Toxicology reports are pending.

Litteral is still hospitalized and continues to receive treatment. She sustained several wounds.

She has not been interviewed yet; however, she will be when she is able.
