City of Ashland To Use Gas Tax Money Toward Street Paving

Ohio's 10.5 cent gas tax increase is benefiting the City of Ashland. According to RichlandSource.com, the city expects to receive around $500,000 annually and use that money toward its street paving plans. Mayor Matt Miller had expressed concern that Ashland would fall behind its 2019 paving plans, but declared at Tuesday's the benefits from the gas tax would eliminate that concern.
