Two Shot in Mansfield on Brinkerhoff Avenue

Monday at approximately 1356 hours, the Mansfield Division of Police responded to the area of South Park on Brinkerhoff Avenue in reference to a “shots fired call”. While officers were enroute to the incident location, Dispatch received information that one, possibly two, shooting victims were at a local hospital seeking treatment. Major Crime Detectives responded to the hospital where two victims were being treated for gunshot wounds. The victims have been identified as 21 year old Jamarion Grillier and 20 year old Damauri Rawls. Both victims were alert and no further information is being released on their conditions.

According to witnesses, the victims were stopped in their car in the middle of Brinkerhoff Avenue with their flashers on, facing southbound. A dark colored SUV traveling southbound then pulled alongside their vehicle, on the passenger side, in the southbound lane. Shortly after, gunshots were heard and the suspect vehicle (a dark colored SUV) fled southbound on Brinkerhoff, towards Maple Street. There is no further information available on the suspect(s) and we are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the shooting and/or the fleeing suspect vehicle to contact investigators at the below numbers. There is no additional details to release as the investigation is ongoing and active as Detectives pursue leads.
