Richland County Coroner Asks For Full Time Assistant

The Richland County Coroner, Tuesday, asked the Richland County Commissioners to change his administrative assistant from part time to full time, plus a pay increase.

RichlandSource.com reports the move could cost the county around $10,000 for the rest of the year (2019). Richland County Coroner, Daniel Burwell, is afraid of losing his assistant, Randi Ball, who currently works 29 hours a week and is paid just over $11 per hour. Burwell would like to see Ball get 40 hours per week and make $14 per hour, which is a pay increase of 19%. Commissioner Tony Vero said this year is a break even budget, but would look to see if there was any wiggle room.
