Renovations at Main Library in downtown Mansfield

The Main Library in downtown Mansfield recently underwent renovations during the month of February. Jean Ruark, Communications Coordinator at the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, said most of the work people will notice is at the main entrance.

The main entrance had not had any changes since the building opened up in 1989. Ruark said it looks a lot more spacious and more comfortable.There is new carpet, paint, wood working, shelves and furniture.There will also be two new self-checkouts and all of the renovations will be complete within about the next two weeks. Work started back in February 4th and the total cost of the project was around $100,000.
