Commissioners give thumbs Up to“Mansfield Rising”Plan

A plan to invest in downtown Mansfield has been given the thumbs up by the Richland County Commissioners. The idea, “Mansfield Rising”, would implement over 30 idea’s to help improve downtown Mansfield. Councilmen Cliff Mears said one of the many ideas talked about include: Free Wifi, a community pool and parking garage just to name a few. Any of the idea's would only be downtown, which is defined by : Adams Street to the east, First Street on the south, Sturges and Bowman on the west and sixth to the north. No projects have been given a green light yet, but RichlandSource.com reports that the “Mansfield Rising” plan is gaining momentum.
