Mapleton high school teacher to resign

A Mapleton high school teacher has agreed to resign from his job at the end of the school year, but will remain on paid administrative leave through the end of July. RichlandSource.com reports Adam Bode was placed on paid administrative leave back in December when allegations said he used inappropriate physical restraint to discipline a student. The Ashland County Sheriff's Office investigated the incident and no charges were filed against Bode. Adam Bode has been a teacher at Mapleton high school since 2010. School records say that Bode was issued a written reprimand and two verbal warnings in October of 2018.
