Lexington Schools Considering Proposals in Constructing New Buildings

Lexington schools are looking into constructing new building and are considering two proposals.RichlandSource.com reports that one plan is to have three buildings, which would house Pre-K through 3rd grade, 4th – 6th and then 7th through 12th grade.  The other plan is for two buildings, which would have Pre-K–6th and then 7th through 12th grade.

Lexington schools have been pushed back on the list for State funding, which could cover up to 48% of the $100 million project.  Now the district has to decide whether or not to put in a bid now on the project without state funding or wait, but that could see a rise in construction costs.
