The cost of camping in 2018 at the Clear Fork campground will be going up, but not quite as much as first thought. RichlandSource.com reports that the Mansfield Parks committee met recently and said it looks like rates will be proposed at $1,900 for the year. Dock rental fees are $340 and winter storage fees are $150.
The increase in fees would allow the city to break even and keep the campgrounds open. This past year, campers paid just over $1,200, but more than $210,000 in repairs are needed to the Clear Fork campgrounds. The investment is for electrical and water service, along with new restrooms.
