The Metrich Enforcement Unit held its 31st annual meeting this week in Ontario to discuss the drug problem in the 10 counties it covers, which includes Richland, Ashland and Crawford Counties.

Mansfield Police chief Ken Coontz told RichlandSource.com that heroin seizures across the region have decreased, but meth and cocaine is coming back hard.  Coontz said that meth is pretty much in all 10 counties in the region.  State Auditor Dave Yost was the keynote speaker at the event.
