Dementia/Alzheimer's Information

The Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer/Dementia organization offers educational programs free and open to the public every 2nd Thursday of the month from 9 am until 10:30 a.m.

The monthly schedule is as follows:

Thursday, February 14th - Healthy Living for a Healthy Brain

Thursday, March 14th - Effective Communicative Strategies

Thursday, April 11th - Dementia Conversations

Thursday, May 9th - Legal and Financial Issues

The events will take place at the Area Agency on Aging located at 2131 Park Avenue West in Ontario.

Also every 2nd Thursday from 1-2 pm there is an Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group as well as a Mind Works Alzheimer's Early Stage Group (for those with early-stage dementia).

The 4th Monday each month there is an Early Stage Exercise Program "Minds In Motion" at the YMCA beginning at 2:30 p.m.
